Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through HSC with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in St Clair to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local St Clair chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Cooper has been applying the "pen and paper" and "talking aloud" techniques confidently. This has been reflected in his full working in the homework questions and "in-class" quizzes. Cooper is encouraged to keep "back-checking" his steps to avoid any potential algebraic errors. Cooper is always "seeking understand" of concepts explained and confidently undertakes tasks asked of him during class.
Max always works to the best of his ability with me. He takes on feedback and always tries to impress me by showing he has mastered a new skill or concept - as he has done in the new congruence chapter we are working on.
Matthew struggles most with 6, 7, 8 and 9 timetables, though his proficiency has increased since we started tutoring. Another area where Matthew tends to make mistakes is long division where he regularly needs refreshing on the methodology. I don't consider this a serious problem however.

We are very happy with Sean, the kids have responded very well to him and even look forward to the sessions!
Abed is passionate about maths, and is very keen to teach his student, and ensure they are succeeding. He is an asset to Ezymaths.
Things are going really well. Kai enjoys Noah's tutoring. On his last math's assessment he received 80% in comparison to the one before which was 55%. I met with his math's school teacher and she has provided upcoming topics for Noah to discuss with Kai as well as 2 practice tests. Her feedback was positive too and constructive. If we stay on this path, I'm confident that it will prepare him well for the upcoming HSC.
