Found adding and subtracting fractions easy as always, was able to complete these questions on her own using multiple strategies and barely made any errors. Remembered the difference between mixed numbers and improper fractions and was able to convert between them on her own Was able to easily read the table and graph and explain what they showed. I was impressed that she knew which axes were the x and y and which variable went on which Was able to read the cruise ship timetable correctly and accurately count in her head the times asked y the questions. Was overall good at inferring information from the table Found the "problem solving" section very easy as it used her strength of adding and subtracting fractions and the question itself was not wordy.
Started off with worded problems today. Chloe does not read the whole question and often does not read them properly before answering the question, we need to focus on how to properly annotate and read these wordy questions as this will be important in highschool. For the temperature table and graph problems, these were not difficult questions she just showed the wrong answer because she didn't read the question properly and needed reminding on what the question actually asked For the cruise ship time table, she missed crucial information in the table because she didn't read it properly before answering the questions.

Found the adding fractions questions easy, they were easier than the ones I have been doing with her. Was very confident and only made mistakes at the end when it required adding multiple fractions, e.g. the last question asked her to add six numbers Good at reading pie charts, inferring information and answering questions about them Can confidently count time and read a timetable
Worded questions wasn’t too bad however could use some more practice, her tiredness also impacts how she does with these questions. Needs a bit more comprehension with these questions ? time, pie charts worded “problem solving” questions

Similarly to last week, subtracting fractions went very well, the questions in her homework were easier than the ones we usually do together. She remembers the difference between improper fractions, mixed numerals and proper fractions with no help. Can confidently complete addition and subtractions using algorithms with large numbers minimal mistakes Problem solving went very well, completing the problems with little help needed. Still remembers what prime numbers, composite numbers and integers are despite not being covered in school for a while
Needs a bit more understanding of what goes on the x and y axes in graphs 3D objects need more practice, we have never covered this together and there were quite a few gaps in knowledge. Wasn’t completely unsure but definitely needed a few hints and pushes with identifying which net matched which 3D object

Addition was good and is confident in her algorithms Quickly went over types of triangles (equilateral, isosceles, scalene), she remembered all of them and we haven't touched on them since the start of the year I was very impressed Chloe is pretty confident in probability and as usual completed most of the questions on her own with little error, however more practice could still be done
3d objects needs practice, does not know faces, edges, vertices. However progressing from last week as she can identify nets and their corresponding 3D objects with little error Had a little bit of trouble today with problem solving today but I think it is because she was tired. Had trouble focusing on the questions, however she was able to complete them without too much of my help
