What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping younger students understand and learn to thrive and love all their subjects like I did in year 12.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am very patient and confident with my knowledge of a subject, as well as being good at explaining subjects in a range of methods until the student begins to understand and learn on a deeper level.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think building confidence is the biggest thing a tutor can teach. Every student has the capability to excel but it starts with believing that they can do it, once the tutor helps the student build confidence, learning the details of a subject is the easy part.

About Lewin

Strong Academic Foundation and Gifted Program Background

Lewin brings a solid academic record to his tutoring, having achieved an ATAR above 90 and spending several years in a selective gifted and talented program during high school. This gives him first-hand insight into extension content, study skills and exam techniques that help students lift their performance. He understands the pressures students face and can break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, especially in English-heavy and problem-solving tasks common in primary and early high school.

Natural Leader with Experience Supporting Younger Students

From primary school, Lewin has taken on leadership roles, including serving as school captain and helping in the school canteen, where he regularly supported younger students. These experiences have developed his ability to relate to children of different ages, keep them on task and encourage them in a friendly, confident way. Parents can expect a tutor who sets clear expectations, keeps sessions organised and uses gentle leadership to build students’ independence and self-belief.

Future Psychology Student Focused on Motivation and Confidence

Lewin is commencing a part-time Bachelor of Psychology, which reflects his interest in how students think, learn and stay motivated. He draws on this interest to help students manage nerves, build better habits and approach schoolwork with a calmer mindset. With strong time-management skills from balancing study and work, he can coach students in planning homework and assessments, turning tutoring sessions into a space where they feel heard, supported and challenged at the right level.
