What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the satisfaction that comes with working with a student to achieve their classroom goals. To me, there is no better feeling, for student and tutor than hard-work and commitment paying off in the form of results and outcomes worth being proud of.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I pride myself in my attention to detail whilst I still understand the importance of prioritising the bigger picture and targeting the low-hanging fruits in a students learning journey. Having just recently completed my HSC, I still have fresh memory of what learning techniques worked and which didn't. Furthermore, I believe I am very personable, a trait which allows me to connect with a student and most effectively teach complex concepts.
I attended Knox Grammar School and I completed my HSC in 2022, undertaking Advanced English, Advance Mathematics, Extension 1 Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics and Physics. I achieved a band 6 in Advanced Mathematics, Physics and Economics, with an E4 in Extension 1 Mathematics, I achieved a band 5 for Chemistry and English.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is to provide the student with deep understanding of concepts so that the student can approach future challenges with the confidence that they can work through it on their own, even if it is unfamiliar. There is so much more to mathematics than just memorisation as so many people believe, they key is problem solving and patience, a great tutor instills this into their student.
