What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I'd like to have a job that helps people, and being a good tutor will allow students to improve and thrive which I can be proud of. It's an effect that certain teachers have had on me and I'd like to have the same effect towards my students. I plan to pursue an education degree at Macquarie University, and being able to tutor allows for valuable practice and experience.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel I am easy to get along with, and still being young will hopefully allow students to feel more comfortable when learning. I can be particularly helpful for students who are struggling to keep up, as I have been in that situation myself. I would be proud to not only teach students about mathematics but to also increase their motivation and confidence in themselves.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Being a good listener and adjusting to what I think is best for them for me is very important. Some students may be fully motivated to do the best they can and I can therefore assign them with homework, whilst also ensuring they don't feel either overwhelmed or not receiving enough, which therefore requires communication. The next important thing is to honestly update the parents on the progress.
