What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to support students to have a healthy mindset towards VCE and academics as a whole. I personally believe that students should be able to leave high school having had an enjoyable year and being able to look back at good memories, not stressful ones.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I enjoy explaining things in a variety of ways and tend to use examples and visual aids. Generally, I believe this helps people grasp my points more easily and understand what I am trying to convey. I have lots of experience in customer service and volunteering, and generally believe I'm friendly and easy to get along with. Most notably, I work as a party host, so I'm confident in my ability to handle kids and teenagers of all ages.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

About Akeira
Education
I went to an IB primary school - Mount View Primary School, before attending MacRobertson Girls' High School years 9-12. I was accepted in MacRobertson in the first round, scoring in the top bracket for all categories. I graduated with 40+ scores in General Mathematics and Accounting. I also learnt abacus from a young age, allowing me to develop fast and effective mental mathematics skills.
Performance Experience
I have 8 years of performance experience, appearing on a televised show for these 8 years. I've also performed at the Australian Open, the Newcombe Awards, and for the Royal Children's Hospital. These experiences, alongside my media training has reinforced my speaking skills, ability to get along with others, and my articulation.

Seems to understand perimeter well, and managed to pick up Pythagorean theorem fine. Also was able to apply scientific notation well.

Some elementary math concepts seem to be lost, also seems to forget things easily, so I have been circling back often to try stick things into her memory.
Retained techniques from last week and applied them to 9B and 9C. Was able to pick up 9B relatively fast compared to 9A due to understanding prior content.

Whilst she has some issues remembering techniques and concepts, with continual repetition of practice questions, she does remember the steps - just forgetting certain rules and applications.
Due to lack of materials from moving schools recently, we both weren't aware that chapter 7 would also be covered in the exam. As such, extra time was requested to ensure i could refresh and cover chapter 7 content from the practice exam. She sometimes does not read the questions properly, prompting me to tell her to read the question again carefully.
