What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy the most about tutoring is breaking down subjects that initially seem intimidating. Having once felt overwhelmed by complex topics myself, I began breaking abstract concepts into manageable, logical chunks to build student confidence which has worked wonders for me and the students I have tutored.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My primary strength is the ability to translate high-level academic excellence into practical student success. With a 3.88/4.00 GPA in my Master of Data Science, I have a deep mastery of the subjects I teach, but more importantly, I know how to deliver results. In my community tutoring and my role as a Monash Peer Mentor, I have consistently helped students improve their exam scores by identifying their specific learning gaps and tailoring my explanations to their pace. No matter what subject I am teaching, my main focus is building a strong foundation before delving into the depths of topics.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do is shift a student’s mindset from fear to curiosity. Whether I am teaching a primary schooler or a university peer, I’ve seen that academic anxiety is the biggest barrier to learning. By being approachable and building a genuine rapport, I always create a safe space where students feel comfortable making mistakes because that is where the best learning happens. Ultimately, my goal is to help my student find that one part of the subject they actually enjoy and motivate them to channel their love for that into their academics.
