About Xavier
Strong Maths Background with IB Focus
Xavier is currently completing the International Baccalaureate, with a strong focus on Maths Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level. This means he works daily with algebra, functions, and problem-solving at a level well beyond the school standard, and can confidently break these ideas down for younger students. He is used to tackling complex questions step-by-step and can show students not only how to get the right answer, but how to understand the reasoning behind it.
Creative Teaching Experience Through Film Workshops
Xavier has hands-on experience teaching younger students, having helped design and run a six-week workshop introducing them to the fundamentals of film and movie production. In this program he guided students through planning, filming and basic editing, explaining new concepts in simple, engaging ways. This experience has taught him how to manage a group, adapt explanations to different ability levels, and keep sessions practical and fun while still building real skills.
Organised, Approachable and Student-Focused
As a busy senior student, Xavier has developed strong organisation and time-management skills, which he brings into his tutoring. He plans clear lesson structures, sets achievable goals, and helps students build good study habits alongside subject knowledge. Used to working in teams and resolving conflicts, he creates a calm, approachable environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying again.
