What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Honestly, what I enjoy most is that moment when a concept finally clicks for a student after they've been stuck on it for ages. Watching confusion turn into confidence is what keeps me coming back to tutoring. I also really love getting to know each student, figuring out how they learn best and what actually motivates them, then shaping my teaching around that. Seeing someone go from dreading a subject to actually looking forward to our sessions together is such a rewarding feeling.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strength is my range of experience. I've taught students from elementary through to Grade 12, plus specialised exam prep like the American SAT in Math and English, consistently helping students lift their scores by a significant amount. That range means I can adapt to whatever a student needs, whether it's building the basics or sharpening exam technique. I'm also genuinely passionate about teaching, and I always try to make lessons fun without losing focus on the actual learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is meeting a student exactly where they are, figuring out what they already understand and where the gaps are, rather than just repeating what a teacher already told them. Building confidence matters just as much as building knowledge, since a student who believes they can improve will actually put in the effort. And learning should feel achievable and even enjoyable. That's when real improvement happens.
