What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to help students understand something they initially found difficult and seeing their confidence grow as a result. Through my previous experience teaching Mathematics, Science and English to children, as well as working as a dance teacher, I've found it really rewarding to see students make progress and become more confident in their own abilities. I enjoy working with children and being able to make learning a positive and enjoyable experience for them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I would say my biggest strengths are my patience, communication skills and ability to adapt to different situations. Through my teaching experience, I've learned that every student learns differently, so I try to adjust my explanations and teaching methods to suit their individual needs. My academic background in Mathematics, Statistics and Science has also given me a strong foundation in problem-solving and breaking down complex concepts into simple steps. I'm also organised, approachable and genuinely enjoy working with young people.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. It's important to recognise that every student has different strengths and areas where they may need additional support. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I believe a good tutor should help them understand the reasoning behind what they're learning and encourage them to think independently. Building their confidence is just as important as improving their academic performance.
