Relieving stress. I personally find the most problematic scenario is when a student is capable of solving a problem, but not believing they can. When they lack confidence or get shaken up during an exam. Having a calm and clear mindset is key to problem solving. Patience and empathetic viewpoint. I try to understand it from how they think and will…
I believe that as a tutor, the most crucial lesson I can impart to my students is to empower them to freely express their doubts and ask as many questions as they need. Encouraging a questioning mindset and creating a safe environment for curiosity to thrive is paramount. By doing so, I foster their confidence and enable them to actively engage in…

As said above, I feel tutoring is all about finding the way a student can understand the matter.
This means that tutoring for me is in the first place an individual process that differs every time.
Also very important is being able to show progress to both the student and the parents because this is the way to build confidence. I am a very…
Being a teacher, it's his/her duty to make the student understand any concept accurately with an ease and with great patience. It is not right to shout or get angry on any person if he or she is not able to do any thing, all you need is some time and practice and also some tricks to solve any problem. I am a very patient person and work with full…

I think that as a tutor, being able to understand the perspective of the student is crucial in educating them. Tutoring is a student-centred occupation and one should be able to assess students' knowledge in real time in order to develop effective teaching solutions. Another important tutoring technique is to be prepared for sessions. Whether it…
A tutor should be able to boost students' confidence in subjects/areas they find difficulties in. I believe a tutor should be able to recognize and maximise each student's strengths while examining their weaknesses and finding solutions to overcome those weaknesses. I am very patient with my students, and I am dedicated to explain concepts and key…
I believe that it is incredibly important for a tutor to inspire their student to achieve their very best in terms of their academics. I also believe that a tutor can act as a more relatable source of academic help instead of a teacher; a tutor can provide more in depth help outside the class room. I can sympathise with the students in terms of…
To be inspired and motivated in this area, even though they might not go into this area, but at least to see the importance and be appreciate the stuff they learn. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to be patient and understanding while the child is trying their best to understand the subject. I also believe it is very important to be adaptable to each individual students needs, otherwise they will never be able to learn. I have always had a passion for teaching and have…
To teach a topic is to simplify it, make the students imagine and live in the topic by giving them real life examples and case studies. As a tutor I beleive in understanding student's perspective, I try to put myself in their shoes and consider all the possibilities. While preparing a topic I prepare as if the students know everything (which helps…
In my current study, the most important skills are independent learning and peer teaching. I aim to teach students how to identify their gaps and where to look, whether Google or Youtube or books or teachers. I will teach students study skills like note taking or flashcard techniques. In the end, my goal will be to make the student the expert and…
I believe a tutor should connect personally with a student and should be available for the student at any time. This helps a student to open up to the tutor. I am a cheerful and approachable person. Students don't hesitate to ask me same doubts again. Mathematics was my favorite subject in school and I have good understanding of the concepts,…
I think the most important thing we can do is to make students feel confident in what they're doing and actually understand how to do them and how to solve questions instead of feeling lost. I understand students really well cause i'm a student myself and I explain stuff in easy ways and make it really easy for them to understand. I also don't…
The most important thing for a tutor would be the ability to establish a connection with students, letting the student know you are there to try and assist them. I believe a tutor play a great role in helping his/her student to build up self confidence.

Teaching Maths by asking the student where they wants to start and that there is no problem in asking any 'stupid' question. Being able to listen them and get to know their strength and weaknesses. I'm good at getting to know the students well and establishing a connection with them. I believe that tutoring Maths goes beyond teaching them rules;…
Actually make sure that the student understands the concepts. To be able to make the student not not intimidated by your tutoring skills and be able to openly ask any doubt they have. My fluent english speaking skills, will help with being able to communicate clearly and easily for people to understand. I'm a good listener so if the student has…
I believe that themost important thing a tutor can do for a student is to pass on tips and tricks from their schooling experience rather than just hand out textbook knowledge - anyone can do that. Little tips and tricks as well as talks about future plans are going to help students more in the long run as well as teach them niche studying habits…
Active listening, and asking as many questions as possible, to learn more about the students strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
The more we know, the better illustration we have to help guide, encourage, motivate and inspire students to realize their own potential. My strengths as a Tutor, include, my interpersonal approach to each…
The tutoring sessions with Dominic are going very well. He has certainly helped Kailiana to gain confidence and skills in maths, while keeping a calm, friendly, and easy-going mood for the tutoring sessions. As any 8 year old does, Kailiana can get distracted from time to time, but Dominic has always taken this in stride, and been very creative in engaging with Kailiana in order to retain her attention. For example, there was one instance where she jumped up out of nowhere and decided to feed her goldfish in the middle of them trying to solve some questions about volume. Once she got back to the table Dominic asked her about her fish, and then changed the objects in the question they were solving to fish. He effectively got her back on track and engaged her attention in a warm and gentle way. Kailiana looks forward to her tutoring sessions, with is another testament to the good work Dominic has been doing with her.
Our daughter seems to respond well to Adam and even though it's still early days she is much more confident!
We are finding Eloise great. She is very good with Penny and has really listened to where Penny needs help with most and has prepared for her lessons well. We plan on keeping up tutoring as I think it's making a big difference with Penny's confidence at school. She has gone from below the expected level in term 1 report to at the the expected level for her end of year report.
Biology tutoring in West End
For most students, biology doesn't seem that hard. The content isn't that intimidating and if you put in the time, more often than not results will follow.
No wonder most students get discouraged once they move up the curriculum. Getting the results becomes less about putting in the hours by going over the concepts and more about structuring the knowledge and connecting the dots. It's not simple revision anymore, and without someone to guide them, students can easily lose focus.
If you are thinking about finding someone to support your child's learning, we can match you with a local biology tutor in West End.
We've found that through guided learning, students are more likely to pick up skills they can use to learn other subjects and even make good decisions in their personal life as well. All we need is to have a chat with you so we can figure out what kind of support your child needs.
And this is how it works.
The tutoring is done at your home or a local library, wherever works for you. And the fees are simple - just an hourly rate, no extra fees.
The first lesson comes as a risk-free trial with a money-back guarantee. That means if for whatever reason your child doesn't click with the tutor right away, no need to worry - you let us know and we set up another trial.
As simple as that.
Want to work with a local West End biology tutor? We can help you out.
