Matthew used back checking to self-check his work when going through his most recent assessment, and when re-doing the questions. This is helping him to recognise his own errors, and learn from his mistakes. Matthews formatting skills are good. His working out is logical and neat, therefore making it easier to follow.
She has a great attitude within sessions and is always willing to have a go when prompted. During sessions she puts in 100% to try and figure it out and lets me know if she needs further explanation. Just needs to make sure she is making time to do her homework properly.
Maddy seems to struggle quite a bit with doing unit conversions, addition of numbers such as 17000+9000 that have different place values. She is getting better at working with fractions in a wide range of questions, however they are still not a strong point for her. She is doing very well with algebra and doesn't seem to be struggling with it at all.

We are delighted with Jacques! Ben is very comfortable with him and Jacques gentle manner has helped Ben become less nervous with the student/tutor process. We are looking forward to seeing the results in future.
