The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Henry continues to improve slowly. Especially in maths. He still need to improve on his concentration when reading questions and understanding how to use the information given to obtain the proper solutions.
Dion always has a positive attitude towards tuition, which is very encouraging. Dion has had some trouble this month with his energy levels during sessions, and has directly mentioned as much. It has caused some problems with his focus and capacity to keep track of terms within equations. Dion, as always, keeps his workbook very well ordered, though he would experience less confusion if he gave himself more space to write his equations.
There are still some gaps in the fundamental aspects and topics of mathematics, specifically long hand multiplication and division as well as the higher times tables. However, over the past month Joshua has shown vast improvement on the former of the three and is now able to carry out long hand multiplication. Some general fundamental aspects of mathematics, however, he has shown definite improvement over the past few months in this regard.
Very happy with the way it is going thanks Gene. Benedict is a good tutor and Saf and I are both happy with her progress.
All going well. Aisling has connected well with Anthony and he feels that the tutoring is helping.
Karla's tutoring is going very well. Hilario has a lovely manner and approach and Karla seems to be getting on very well with him. They have talked about getting the basics right and he's teaching her tips to remember key things as Karla becomes very stressed in exams and cannot concentrate. So hopefully this approach will help.
