The value in a one-on-one private English tutor is that they can focus entirely on your child and organise lessons around their specific goals and challenges. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Poppy effectively uses the back checking and pen to paper method when approaching any math problems given to her. She is also good at self-questioning, allowing her to keep an open mind and learn quickly from her mistakes.
Nadia has presented eagerness and overall a good attitude towards learning new concepts but also when revisiting concepts she has covered in the past that she has had difficulties with previously. In regards to Nadia's effort, she has shown commitment within, and also in-between sessions when homework has been set. No complaints. Nadia has shown to have a good work ethic, and this has been made apparent in her completion of homework and active engagement in her learning. She has also shown to be organised.
Transfer skills, avoid rule dependence, avoid lazy thinking, format skills - we still have to cover these learning strategies. She needs to retain the terms and formulas she's remembered in maths a bit more eg. the pythagoras theorem and median & range, so that it becomes like second-nature to her and to always back check and recheck her work.

Hello, I am sorry I have been so uncommunicative. Dev was lovely and I was sorry to see her go. She helped Thea very much with her maths and did herself out of a job. Thea and her teacher told me that she had caught up and was actually finishing before everyone else. I hope however, I can get Dev back if Thea's maths falls back again. She was really fantastic and can highly recommend her.
Daniel is absolutely thrilled with Sheetal. I am also impressed with Sheetal's approach and commitment. His tutoring dwells into understanding the concepts behind mathematical formulas, not just simple application, which is exactly what I had been hoping for. I am also pleased that Sheetal is open to extra lesson should Daniel need them. So in response to your question - very, very happy. I've been recommending you guys to my friends !!!
I applied to work at Ezy Math Tutoring because I was looking for a job that could give me teaching experience. Not only do Ezy Math provide this through the tutoring but they also give ongoing tutor learning modules to keep you thinking about different aspects of your tutoring and to help you keep improving as a tutor. They are dedicated to ensuring that their tutors are constantly improving and this is fantastic for both the tutor and the client! I appreciate the skills I have learned as my time as a tutor and am thankful for their support that they give me.
