Students reach the next level when they work with someone who understands their needs, who’s available and honestly cares about their goal. That kind of support goes a long way, especially with chemistry, as it tends to be elusive and hard to master.
In most cases, that kind of help isn't available at school. Teachers already have a full classroom to manage and are generally swamped with tasks. Maybe you've already thought of finding a local Turrella chemistry tutor for your child, but you didn't know where to start and what to look out for.
We can help.
This is what we do. We organise one-on-one tutoring in your home, at a time that's most convenient for you. You choose what the tutor covers and how often they come. Not quite sure what your child needs to learn? No need to worry, we'll figure it out.
We charge a simple hourly fee and last but not least, in case you don't like the first lesson - we consider it a trial and match you with another Turrella chemistry tutor.
We've seen it time and time again, all it takes for a student to start trying again is that one aha moment.
The right tutor can get your child there.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ali is a very neat student, even if he makes mistakes he is following question in a very logical and consistent manner. In general, most of the mistakes Ali makes comes from minor gaps in knowledge, not from lack of attention. He seems to lack confidence and he gets scared of questions he doesn't recognize. Because of that he may get a bit rule dependent initially, however, after sufficient practice he easily starts applying critical thinking.
Amy's attitude towards maths is not very positive. I am trying a couple of different strategies to engage her enough to learn. Amy doesn't like maths, so she does not put a lot of effort into her work. She tries to drag out a question as long as possible so she doesn't have to do as much. Amy does not have good working habits. She gets distracted far too easily. This is something that she needs to work on, with my help.
Anuk has to work upon focusing on his work more. He makes many silly mistakes. His concepts and understanding is getting much better though. He needs to work upon his concentration level. He gets distracted easily so I need him to focus on the work more. He is still dependant on his calculator. He needs to start thinking mentally about the easier questions.

Matthew has been extremely happy with the tutoring Hannah has provided, and received an A on his most recent Maths test this week. Hannah is always very punctual and explains things very clearly to Matthew, and in particular has encouraged him to show his working out, which contributed toward him receiving more marks on his recent test than he would have otherwise received. Matthew has already asked if Hannah can continue to tutor him next year!
Rebecca is extremely happy with Diana. She is truly amazing and the first session was a great success with understanding and common ground. Very happy.
Jarryd is proving a great find! Meg's already doing better and feeling more confident, so we're very happy. Thanks for finding him for us.
