What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I myself haven't tutored in an academic context, but my background as a swim teacher has given me the opportunity to teach a range of children and teens. I enjoy being able to pass something onto them and being a model who can help them achieve their goals. I myself have fostered a love of learning and I am excited to pass it on to others.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think I have proficient communication skills which will largely assist me communicating concepts and ideas in a variety of ways. From teaching a range of children and adults to swim, I have improved my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways for them to be effectively understood. I also think I have a great deal of patience which is very important for tutoring. Through this I am confident I will be able to work through any struggles with diligence, and continual support and encouragement.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are obviously help them improve academically, but also help them gain confidence in an area that they lack knowledge or success in. I think it is also important that a tutor provides continual support and fosters a strong connection between their students in which they feel comfortable but also encouraged and safe.
