What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is the moment a student discovers a new way of understanding something, not just getting the right answer, but realizing there's a whole different way of thinking about the problem. Watching that shift happen, where something that felt confusing suddenly clicks because they found their own way into it, is honestly the most rewarding part.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a Master's in Engineering, and along the way I had to become really deliberate about how I learn. Engineering forces you to break down complex material and figure out what actually works for your brain. That process gave me a strong sense of how learning happens, which means I'm good at recognizing how a specific student learns and adapting my approach to fit them, rather than teaching everyone the same way.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is teaching a student how to learn, not just helping them get through the material in front of them. Anyone can walk a kid through today's homework, but if you also give them the tools to approach new problems on their own: how to break things down, ask the right questions, and figure out what they don't understand, that's what actually sticks with them long after the tutoring session ends.

When I'm Not Tutoring
Outside of tutoring, you'll usually find me outside, surfing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, diving, spearfishing pretty much anything that gets me outdoors. I have a deep love for nature and the ocean and feel like there is a lot that they can teach outside of the classroom.
