I have a Master's in Engineering, and along the way I had to become really deliberate about how I learn. Engineering forces you to break down complex material and figure out what actually works for your brain. That process gave me a strong sense of how learning happens, which means I'm good at recognizing how a specific student learns and adapting my approach to fit them, rather than teaching everyone the same way.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is teaching a student how to learn, not just helping them get through the material in front of them. Outside of tutoring, you'll usually find me outside, surfing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, diving, spearfishing pretty much anything that gets me outdoors. I have a deep love for nature and the ocean and feel like there is a lot that they can teach outside of the classroom.
