What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is the moment a concept finally clicks for someone, having seen that same shift happen for me through my tutoring journey. I'd be very grateful for the opportunity to create it for other students. I also enjoy the process of finding the right way to explain something, since not everyone learns the same way, and adapting my explanation to what works for them is genuinely satisfying.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
A strength I have is patience, and being able to adapt my approach to ensure the individual fully understands the concept. Rather than using the same explanation for everyone, I think it is vital to change the breakdown of the topic if the first explanation doesn't make sense. I have found working through a problem step by step, without rushing, are often what gets someone unstuck.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is ensuring they understand each topic conceptually, rather than the steps to get the correct answer. This helps greatly in application questions, which a student will encounter a lot throughout school. By doing so, a tutor helps the student build confidence to apply the knowledge to new problems, not what they have memorised.
