What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy teaching and I initially considered it as a career possibility for me upon leaving high school. Although I didn't pursue it as a profession, I always found it fun and fulfilling to help others see things the way I do in a subject, and in times where I have informally tutored friends, it was always so enjoyable to reach a point after a few minutes where something clicks in their minds and everything becomes clear.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have an incredible ability to make the teaching of school subjects enjoyable and can deliver the content in a more consumable and engaging manner than what students sometimes feel they receive at school. This is due to the fact that I am myself an a university student, so I know all the tactics and mindsets current students have, but also have direct insight into importance of the fundamental content learned in school, and where it can actually lead to in further studies.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Often it is the response from students that they'll never have to remember or use the content they learn again in their life, but that misses the fact that the act of learning these subjects, establishes a new kind of problem solving brain-wiring in your mind. It's not always important what you learn (depending on your career choice) but rather the methods, tools and tactics you develop in order to solve problems, because that is a tool kit you will most definitely require again in your life regardless of vocation, and as a tutor I see as the most important thing I can do.
