I continue to encourage Niamh to talk aloud when she is considering a question so that she can be aware of her own thinking processes but also to allow her tutor to help identify other techniques. I also remind Niamh that it is ok to be wrong and to seek help when needed. I also believe Niamh should continue to check her answers to ensure she has not made a lazy error. Niamh must also remain neat in her work and show each step taken to come to a solution, especially in worded problems.
Shivani shows an excellent attitude to her work and put in a lot of effort in our sessions. Her work habits so far seem pretty good, she always has her exercise book, reading book, dictionary and pencil case ready to go for tutoring.
At present, a main area which must be worked on is avoiding careless mistakes. This can be done through establishing a habit of contiunously backchecking her work. Developing such a habit will definitely reflect on future examinations and will boost her marks.
Christopher has a very great communication style and is fun and he made the lesson engaging and also challenging.
Washim has been great. Josephine received C/D marks last semester for Maths and has achieved an A- and a B+ for her most recent exams this term so her time with Washim has been very helpful.
