And it's understandable. It can be challenging to connect the concepts to real-life, see how it all relates to their day-to-day. When they're struggling, students tend to give up easily and at some point, they stop trying altogether.
If your child doesn't catch on right away, or maybe they consider chemistry a complete waste of time, it can be hard to convince them otherwise. What we've found is that students react better when it comes from someone who they can relate to.
They react to mentors, someone closer to their age, who shares the same experience. That's why tutors are in a unique position to help a student grow.
That's why great tutoring can make such a big difference.

Dante's learning strategies seem to be progressing quite well now. He has good correction skills, is constantly seeking to understand and he avoids lazy thinking. This is great and I hope that he is able to do this outside our lessons.
A positive altitude is exhibits, she can finish her assigned homework from school with a high standard, and finish most of the homework assigned by the tutor. She is keeping up with the topics learning in the schools and the materials provided by the tutors. She usually complete all the assigned workload from the school and attempt the harder questions from tutoring homework. She has a well organized work habits, all the studying materials from school and tutoring are organized separately and orderly.

In the broader scope I think she needs more work on her basic times tables but they are a challenge for every child and it will just take time.
Chloe gets along very well with Huey & has told us she feels much better already.
