Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't.

Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.

Algebra - Rosie started learning Algebra in Term 2 and although she's done all the exercises, she's still having some difficulties understanding the concept of pronumerals and how to work with them. Some more ongoing practice (which I'll give to her) and perhaps more optimism from Rosie's part will help her overcome this.
