The value in a one-on-one private English tutor is that they can focus entirely on your child and organise lessons around their specific goals and challenges. With the right support mechanisms every student can succeed. And ... that success is often life-changing for students, it serves as undeniable proof that if they apply themselves they can achieve success where they previously failed. It's just about the best lesson a young person can learn.

We have been developing back checking as an essential habit to incorporate in any problem solving scenario. We have utilised back checking as a means to diminish "silly" mistakes such as missing out operation signs, as well as a tool to validate your answers and method to completing the problem. Questioning your process and explaining your approach can be greatly beneficial to consolidating knowledge, and as such we have focused on back checking, specially leading up to the math exam.
Sienna shows she is extremely keen to learn. He bubbly personality will enable her to improve tremendously. Sienna is putting a lot of effort into her work which is excellent to see! This well definitely help her excel. Sienna is a practical, hands-on learner. By giving her visuals, hands-on, practical activities, she is able to learn without even realising she is picking up knowledge. e.g. we are coming up to writing persuasive texts in the form of a letter using topics she is interested in.
There are no major gaps in Emily's maths knowledge. She has been able to do all the problems we have attempted. Reading the question carefully is the only major problem area. Sometimes Emily will misread the question and begin the problem incorrectly so it would be a good idea to read through questions multiple times so she is sure what the question is asking and what information is given to her to help solve the problem.
Thanks for your follow up. All seems to be going well so far . Anthony seems quite comfortable with Max and I think a little more confident . Of course it's still early days so we will assess his progress again soon.
Cassie is great! Ashley is already showing improvement in class and is happy with Cassie as she is easy to understand and can relate to her well. Thank you
Very happy with Luke at the moment. Billie seems keen and is interested in what Luke is showing her. That's a step forward for her when it comes to Maths.
