Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.
Once you reach out to us we can allocate a local Cockburn physics tutor within a day or two.
We set up the first lesson at your home, whenever works for you, and we charge a simple hourly rate. The first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
Sounds simple enough?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kyla is definitely making very good progress in all learning strategies, with some more to be done in improving her back checking routine as many of her inquiries about suspected wrong answers (which are avoidable) are related to poor back-checking.
Bree's attitude towards Maths is exceptional. I can tell she puts the most effort into Maths which is great. However, for English, Bree is not as motivated for it. A great way for Bree to feel more motivated for English is for her to start reading a novel that she thoroughly enjoys. If Bree starts reading in her spare time, she will unconsciously improve her vocabulary skills and essentially, write better.
Cameron has no significant gaps in his learning. He has shown some difficulty with algebra, but his class has only just started the subject and hence I would expect him to struggle somewhat.
Both Natalia and Kiara are very happy with Abigail and things are starting off really great.
Mina is a very helpful teacher who has allowed me to regain confidence. There are times when I do get stuck on some topics, but Mina will know when I need help and she will focus on that topic a bit more. She gives me a wide range of different questions which prepare me for my tests. Her work ethic is an extra bonus which allows me to feel more motivated about maths and makes me feel more confident in harder areas. I recommend Mina to anyone who is looking for a kind and positive teacher who builds up confidence and knowledge. Mina is a hard worker and doesn't put her students down and encourages them even when they aren't understanding the topic.
At this point, we are happy with the way things are progressing. Ryan seems a bright and capable young man and Kirsten does feel the sessions are assisting her.
