Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through WACE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Abbie's learning strategies are fantastic! She is speaking her thoughts aloud to me more often as she works through questions which allows me to follow along with her thought process much more easily.
Gabby is encouraged to put more effort into exam preparation. Summary sheets need to made well before the exam date, and practice questions should be done as often as possible in the weeks leading up to the exam. Gabby still has an opportunity to turn this around before the end of the HSC, and I encourage her to do so.
When it comes to measurement questions, Pierce often forgets to include the unit of measurement of writes it incorrectly. Paying more attention to this more could help him save marks. Unit conversions also appear to be a little difficult for Pierce and he could work on this by trying to memorise the unit conversion chart.

We were very satisfied with Tammy and have recommended ezymathtutoring to other people.
I just wanted to thank you and my son's tutor, Faraz, for all of your work with him over the last couple of months. I have found Aiden to be much calmer and more focused about the subject since Faraz started tutoring him, which has been fantastic. Aiden found Faraz extremely helpful in guiding his revision and assisting him with the components that he was struggling with.
It seems Gillian is really benefiting greatly from the tutoring and I must say that Joyce is a super star! She has somehow turned Gillian 180 degrees in her attitude to maths.
