What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the ability to help students understand what they're learning in class. Of the students that I have tutored over the last 6 months, most have had issues with understanding the content/keeping up with the rest of their class in school. In our tutoring sessions, I make sure that the students learn at a pace that is comfortable for them so that they are able to learn.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my strengths in tutoring include: listening to the students about what they know and what content they think they don't know enough on, being able to teach students content in a way that they'll understand (e.g. visual learners respond well to drawing diagrams and images to help remember/understand content), and finally being approachable where students can ask any questions without fear of judgement.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student include: firstly, helping students understand what they think they are not being taught enough/want to understand more of, secondly, improve their confidence/attitude towards the content that they are learning in a specific class (e.g. Maths can seem quite daunting to some students; changing the student's approach maths will help them build confidence in what they are trying to learn), and finally helping the student improve their grades.
