What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring provides a means through which I can pass on my knowledge to others and aid them in furthering their current academic progress. Being able to help others attain their personal goals and reach greater heights through sharing aspects of my academic journey is something I find greatly satisfying. Tutoring is a rewarding experience that has also aided me in developing my confidence, organisational skills and also allows me to strengthen my knowledge since teaching others requires adaptability when approaching the content.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Through teaching others, I have realised that simply understanding the content is insufficient to effectively teach, since others may approach the subject differently, or may not be as responsive to the same learning methods that work for me. I believe my strengths lie in my patience and adaptability as I cater to best suit the student I am assisting in comprehending a topic and will persist until an ideal approach is discovered.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutors should be willing to listen and work well with students to achieve their personal goals. Tutors must foster or inspire a strong work ethic within students, motivating them to strive to reach their personal best. Aside from increasing a student's comprehension of particular subjects, tutors should highlight the importance of speaking up and seeking guidance when one is unable to understand something and be a responsible, approachable mentor to whom students can be unafraid to ask for help.
