What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I haven't tutored before, I have lots of experience volunteering with children with disabilities (both mental and physical), and during those times I've spent much time teaching them basic life skills as well as other things such as learning how to ride a bike. My favourite thing about those experiences was seeing the kids feel a sense of accomplishment and a sense of pride in being able to both learn and master a skill they didnt know how to do before.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of my biggest strengths is that I am very patient. Growing up with an autistic brother, I've learned how to be extremely patient and non-judgmental. Additionally, I have first hand experience in knowing that everyone learns at their own pace and differently. And so I think one of my other biggest strengths is understanding that there's more than one way to learn and adjustments have to be made from a teacher's end to help a child learn at their greatest potential.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for their student is not only making them believe that they can accomplish anything, but showing them that they can. They help provide self esteem, courage, and perseverance in students.
