We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 Rockdale maths tutor to come to your home at a time of your choosing. No booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kelly's use of the learning strategies is quickly improving as she is beginning to build a greater understanding of the content being covered. The strategy that perhaps needs the most attention is back checking/self checking where Kelly is able to complete the question but if a mistake has been made she needs to be able to work back and attempt to find the mistake in order to correct it.
Cara continues to show a good attitude towards improvement. Cara's recent efforts have been good, and are paying off as she received 70% in a recent test. However, I would like to see her aim even higher especially for the exam period. I would like to see more of Cara's homework and classwork at each session so that I can see the effort that has been put in.
Her work setting out is generally fine, but she should take a bit more care to show exactly where her solution start and to keep her equal signs aligned. When she is correcting her work, she should try and do it more clearly by re writing it again rather than writing over the same line of working. Lola should try and transfer skills from some areas of mathematics to others, such as using algebra skills when working out ratios, rather than segmenting her knowledge.
Luke was a great tutor and we appreciate everything he did. Overall we were completely satisfied and would be happy to recommend your service.
In regards to Manisha and the help she provided lsabella last year, my husband and I were very happy with the improvement in Isabella's maths results. Manisha was able to explain things in a way that she could understand in a non judgemental way, gave her some great examples to work with and was available for questions any time. Isabella's confidence in her maths improved as a result of all of Manisha's efforts. Before we came to you, Isabella disliked maths intensely and had no confidence in the subject. The more comfortable she became, she was able to assist her classmates who were struggling. I would be more than happy to recommend Ezymath if the opportunity arises.
Devina is fantastic, I am so happy with Josh's progress to the point where he got the Maths award last week for his efforts!!!
