What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Through tutoring I love to see students reach their full potential. Students become more confident in themselves as their grades improve and I enjoy observing this impact. Their self confidence drives independence and further improvements in grades are seen. I see tutoring as not just for improving grades, but also for inspiring students to have confidence in themselves as well as perseverance for the future. Through encouraging self confidence, students are able to thrive in all aspects of study and I enjoy being able to make a long term difference to their life.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strength as a tutor is my subject knowledge. I received a 96.2 ATAR, receiving above 90 in 2 WACE exams, including Mathematics Applications and above 80 in Economics. As well as this, I was the subject award winner for Accounting and Finance. My subject knowledge however is built off my strengths of organisation, problem solving and dedication. My strength of organisation allows me to teach students time management strategies including creating personalised study plans. I also have strengths in communication, patience and adaptability to ensure I cater to different needs of students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that motivating students is the most important thing I can do as a tutor, through inspiring a passion for learning students will consequently succeed in studies. As a tutor I achieve this by encouraging a positive attitude and setting realistic goals. I also believe that adapting learning to the student is important so that learning style and pace is personalised and content is broken down in an understandable way. Furthermore, as a tutor it is important to provide guidance in developing effective learning strategies and techniques in order for students to become self directed.
