What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoyed helping students to reach their full potential in school, especially those that may be struggling. I'd like to be that one thing that pushes them to achieve their desired results and have confidence in school. When tutoring, it is that "lightbulb" moment where students make connection of the concept that I explained to them that made me decided to pursue this career path.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

When I was little, I was an academically weak student who often get made fun of for not understanding study materials as fast as my other classmates, so I understand the helplessness some students may experience. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental study environment where students have no fear of asking for help regardless of how simple the questions may be. I have utilise interpersonal skills to build connection with those I have tutored to better understand their circumstances and adapt my teaching pedagogy accordingly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Go beyond just helping them do their assignments and touch up on what they fall behind in their classes. I believe that tutoring should be tailored to individual students because not all schools provide that, that's where tutor comes into play. We need to help them polish their academic skills and prepare them for whatever path they decided to take, and that goes beyond getting them to pass a test.
