The most important thing a tutor can do for his or her student is to be patient. Often tutors can cover content or explain concepts very quickly in an attempt to meet time constraints but this will not be beneficial for the student as they will not understand or learn thoroughly. It is important for tutors to take time to patiently and logically explain everything to students and then ask if there are anything that needs further clarifying.
