What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the journey. Meeting a student at a point where they're not confident they can understand whatever concept they're struggling with and being able to journey with them to a place where they realise they can actually do this thing -whatever it is. It's rewarding for me to know I've listened, learned, and communicated effectively, and it's ALWAYS rewarding to see them succeed.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths will definitely be my willingness to listen, to seek to understand, and to communicate effectively. I also found that as I seek to understand I grow in patience and I'm able to communicate better or try to explain a concept from a different angle, using what I've learned from the student I'm teaching.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Listen, encourage and be willing to work alongside them. I've found that when I didn't understand a concept and I felt assured that the person helping me believed in me, believed that I could succeed and helped me from that perspective, I was more willing to listen, to learn, to try, to make mistakes, to be corrected, to try again, and eventually I succeeded and began to believe I had what it took to succeed.
