What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Having a student gain confidence as they begin to understand the key concepts to a problem, and seeing how this improves their problem solving skills in other areas they may have struggled in before or that are new. When a student begins to enjoy doing Mathematics because they realise they can do it is a great thing.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my strongest traits is my ability to explain a problem in multiple ways. I find that approaching a problem is usually more about understanding the concept than rote learning. Because of this, I feel it is vital that my students understand how to approach each problem so that they will be confident to be able to solve each type of problem when needed.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Patience and understanding. Patience, so that the student never feels the tutor is only there for the job - but is there for them to learn. This helps in building a students confidence. Understanding, so that the tutor knows that students learn different concepts at different rates and in different ways. Being able to approach the same problem with different explanations is vital for students to understand key concepts.
