What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love seeing the moment when a particular concept finally clicks for a student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I've helped a variety of students, from those struggling in the 50s or 60s grade range to those in the 80s looking to get into the 90s. In doing so, I've determined that everyone has a unique learning style. I therefore feel it's crucial to be able to teach material from multiple angles in case one approach isn't as effective for a particular student, and doing this is one of my strengths.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the best thing a tutor can do for a student is to raise their confidence level. Somebody trying to teach low-level material with high-level approaches can be very confusing for a struggling student. It's important to introduce the material with very basic terms and examples before slowly working their way up to the tougher ones. In doing so, the student will be able to see their own progression, and will develop confidence after solving numerous problems in a row.
