What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have always thoroughly enjoyed helping students get to their goals and achieve what they have set out to achieve. Whether that is as small as answering part b of a question, or completing a single turn or getting a certain mark in an exam. I always love seeing children so proud of their own achievements and being able to see how far they have come. Their successes become our successes too!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor and a teacher I believe my main strength is that I am a positive and encouraging person. I always want to help my students do the best they can do, and no matter where they start even if they only improve one thing it means that they are doing better when they start. I would like to think that I create a positive and safe learning environment for students where they are able to come each week and learn and enjoy the process and learn from their mistakes without feeling like they have failed themselves or me.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the best thing a tutor can do is provide a safe and supportive environment for students. It is important that students do not feel judged and are encouraged to ask questions and highlight the areas that they need to improve. The only way anyone can learn is by making those mistakes and trying it one way and trying again and again. Tutor's should be able to support and guide this process and help their students learn how and why something is the way it is. Rather than giving the student the correct answer.
