What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I like seeing students progress and master skills. This helps them to become independent and more confident. I believe skills and confidence are very important factors for achievement.
I enjoy making the lesson interesting. I try to do this in a number of ways for instance linking the students interests to the learning material. I like this as it can be a creative process.
I also enjoy being able to share new resources and materials that enhance learning.

3. Individualising and tailoring learning strategies that work for the student. Students learn in different ways so it is interesting to find what learning approach works best for each student.
Most important things I can do for a student
1. Provide encouragement
2. Determine the students needs from the start.
3. Discover what learning strategies work best for the learner based on what type of learning style the student has.
4. Provide feedback on progress to the student and the parents.
5. Help the student believe in themselves as valuable regardless of their progress.
