What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy making a difference in my student's lives. Losing confidence in yourself because of unsatisfactory academic performance can be so difficult, and seeing them regain that confidence as a result of my instruction is really rewarding! Seeing them improve tenfold from failing grades and be super happy about it is my favourite part.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I always aim to be flexible and adaptable to each students particular circumstances. I have taught students from grades four to twelve, as well as adults, in person and online, and each of them need a different teaching style. I am committed to providing the best instruction I can to my students, often providing my own worksheets and textbooks and going above and beyond to make sure their questions are answered and they have all they need to succeed.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I prioritise establishing a rapport with a student so that they feel comfortable around me, and frame the conversation in terms of learning and improvement rather than failure. This is very important, to me, to create a productive environment without shame. Patience is also an extremely important quality to convey when working with a student, to continue focusing on learning and not conjure guilt or shame around not knowing an answer, or needing assistance.
