What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to provide tailored learning experiences. Being able to directly work with students toward their academic goals, and seeing them accomplish these is incredibly rewarding. From this I am able to witness students grow and increase their confidence, and this is what makes tutoring my passion.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to be engaging during the teaching of concepts. When I teach, I try to find real world applications of the theory to ensure students not only memorise concepts, but understand them. I find my students have enjoyed this approach more and are therefore interested in the content.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to listen to them. To ask and listen to what the student needs in order to understand difficult concepts goes a long way in ensuring students receive the most out of their sessions. I frequently ask my students if they prefer various ways of me teaching (worksheets, games, verbal explanation, drawing etc.) to see which they gravitate towards.
