The opportunity to actively listen to my students and to provide feedback, including positive reinforcement. Setting and helping my students take appropriate actions to achieve pre - defined SMART academic goals.

Being fully present, giving my undivided attention to the student and their learning, with the knowledge that every student is unique. Adaptable and flexible in the delivery of my lesson content in accordance with the needs and preferences of my students.

Actively listen to the goals, challenges, problems and aspirations of my student. Empathy: to understand what my students are feeling in relation to certain topics, goals or situations, in order to help bridge their understanding and to help re - shape meaning behind Mathematical problems. Incorporate an approachable and flexible teaching style, which encourages dialogue and participation between the tutor and student. Relatability: develop rapport with each student to build trust and open communication lines. Remain open to feedback from each student. Self - reflect on tutoring practice.
