What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love that it's work with purpose. I'm a big advocate for wholistic teaching rather than fact pushing and there's nothing I enjoy more than helping students truly understand the problems they're facing and seeing in real time their confidence for critical thinking and problem solving grow.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Personally, I believe my main strength is being empathetic to how a particular student views the subject they're tackling or how they perceive themselves and then altering my teaching methods around this. Having patience and treating them as they really are: the orchestrators of their own success.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

For me the most important thing is to try and ignite a passion and confidence in learning to learn. Tutoring's core advantage over school learning is that it is personally tailored, and as such, it's paramount that a tutor makes students feel comfortable and understood. This way students are more inclined to divulge areas where they feel they are struggling or to let you know when they require more of a challenge, thus allowing a tutor to guide them to be the best version of themselves, not only academically, but as someone who feels fully equipped to succeed wherever they go in life.
