What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping those who are struggling in general, but for tutoring in particular I enjoy helping with maths concepts for students who may not understand a concept or are not fully able to grasp it. I find it is very satisfying for all parties involved, the tutor, the student and their parents/guardian when the student understands the concept they have been having difficulty understanding. In addition, seeing the fruit of this with the student getting great grades, aceing a test or completing a quiz is fulfilling, as I know I've done my job well and helped the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm empathetic, which helps me to understand a student's difficulties if they are frustrated, and relate with my experiences. I can also be strict at times, but only when necessary, such as when they may not be fully attentive, or may have skipped out on homework a few times in a row.
I also know my content, which ensures that I can clearly explain what I'm teaching to the student. I understand the concepts for maths and chemistry very well, and physics moderately well.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the main thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach the subject they have been asked help for, and do it well, so that the student can get through the subject at school to the best of their ability. In addition, although it isn't as necessary, I believe that a good tutor should encourage a student who is unable to handle the subject, that they can do it.

Charlotte showed a solid understanding of simple chemistry concepts. She was also quick to pick up on an error she made in her working out for a question she reattempted in a previous test. In addition, she understood that stoichiometry requires working with moles instead of mass.
Under time pressure, Charlotte had not correctly answered questions in a previous test. She will need to learn to quickly identify key information and recognise what concepts relate to that information, e.g. number of atoms/molecules immediately means Avogadro's constant is needed. In addition, some improvement of her understanding of stoichiometric ratio is needed.

May need to focus on Algebra as it is his weak point. Also, helping him to read the whole question and how to interpret it, as he had problems with that during the Trial paper.
