What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I like to see other people happy and appreciate the richness of the subjects as much as I do. Personally, I find these subjects to be beautiful and useful. So, I display passion when I teach--which may be contagious. I also like others to take a glimpse of this beauty I perceive, in the hopes that it entices them into a lifelong journey in learning. When they do, it makes me happy.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I explain complex concepts well. I listen attentively to the student's question, then undertake a psycho-philosophical analysis of their concern, verbalise my understanding of their concern, and have it be confirmed by the student. Then I provide an answer in a way that makes sense to them.
Subsequently, depending on the student, I may provide a meta-analysis of the process. This means the student has an expressed system of thinking, through which they themselves are able to answer their own questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
1. The tutor should provide a way/system of thinking, which formal education does not.
2. The tutor should focus on the student, as though the tutor is specialising in the subject called the student: like how a doctor specialises in a field. This may be contrasted with the modern primary and secondary education.
3. The tutor should be capable of acting as the overseer of the student's formal education, like a figure who upholds the student's conscience, ideals, and values.
4. The tutor should be capable of leading the student in their informal education.
