What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the meaningful connections that can be made between the student and the teacher - the “aha!†moments where the student begins to understand a concept. That feeling of knowing you’ve made a personal difference to a child is invaluable.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have 4 years worth of experience in working with children as a swimming instructor, so I understand the way that a teacher needs to explain things well, and understand what the problem is with a child’s understanding. I think this experience would greatly assist me in helping kids learn more efficiently.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Listen! Different students have different needs and the only way to find them is to pay attention! How do they learn best, where are they missing something, what’s the best way to explain a concept - the answers are all found when you validate, encourage and listen to the students’ voices.
