Will does need to learn a better method for surface area when dealing with more complex 3D shapes. He also needs to remember his conversions when dealing with surface area. We will continue going through this throughout Will’s school topic on areas and volume.
Will was able to recall a lot of his knowledge and remembered a lot of his rules/equations.

Will did have some trouble recalling some equations however during our lesson he started to better memorise this and is now able to recall them by the end of our lesson. Next week, alongside new schoolwork, we will go through some of these again to solidly this.
Will is fairly confident in his skills to work out perimeter and area even for more complex shapes that he is familiar with.

Outside the familiar shapes, he may struggle with some newer ones such as circles or parts of circles. He also needs to learn some new conversions of units such as metres to square metres. We will go through some of these topics again the week prior to his next term to refresh his knowledge.
Will was mostly able to remember and utilise all the rules for congruency and understands the basics of expansion and dilation.
