What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Interaction and engagement with students, delivery of maths content (Maths was my favourite subject during school) and marking homework.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

During my own learning journey in high school I found that I best learned when teachers would explain concepts to me thoroughly, with context, and in a very simple format. But this did not always happen with most of my teachers so I ended up having to teach myself the learning material in simple terms so that I could understand it. After having practised this learning technique myself I have now adopted the ability to teach other students new concepts in a manner that is very thorough but also simple to make it easier for them to understand. I believe that is one of my strengths as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Make the students feel comfortable and safe to interact, ask questions and communicate their thoughts - Advocate for students and empower them to seek help during their learning journey - Explain concepts to students in a simple manner so that they understand - Be mindful of the fact that every student has a different learning style and may be at different stages of their learning
