What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love to help people understand things better. I often would help people struggling in class by phrasing what the teacher said in a different way which helped them. I enjoy teaching people so that they can excel in that subject by themselves eventually.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I’m good at recognising patterns and connections for one. This helps me create ways to inform people of how to remember something. Another strength of mine is I tend to catch on to ideas fast and can find different ways to explain them to those struggling to grasp what a teacher/textbook is saying.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor’s most important thing they can do for a student is help them understand strategies to find out the answer themselves. Using one’s own experiences in school, a tutor should show their student the best ways to understand a concept and study it without giving the answers away. It’s important for a student to be able to eventually do it by themselves without help and excel in that subject. Apart from that, I believe a tutor should be a safe person to ask questions to as they are closer in age to the student and hopefully that makes the student more comfortable and feel less stressed.
