What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Tutoring brings me joy through empowering others with personalized learning. Witnessing students' growth, and their "aha" moments, whilst building lasting connections as their mentor is highly rewarding. The opportunity to make a positive impact, foster a love for learning, and see students' confidence soar fuels my passion for tutoring. It's a fulfilling experience, allowing me to contribute to their academic journey while continuously learning and growing myself.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
From experience and feedback, my greatest strength as a tutor is connecting with the student. I make a conscious effort to understand each students' difficulties with anything. This skill allows me to tailor my teaching style to best suit their learning capabilities and pace, at the same time I also challenge their individual understanding to test and build their confidence. Moreover, I excel at being friendly with students to foster a respectful and productive teaching partnership for effective learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing I can do for students is be present in the moment and focus, by listening and providing the student with the opportunity to learn one on one. I intend to achieve this by understanding and connecting with the student's personality while observing their learning capabilities and pace, which would be challenging within a typical class of ~25 students. Additionally, I can address any questions the student may have about effective self-learning and studying, enabling them to employ these techniques for themselves so they can become a learner for life.
