What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love seeing a student finally understand a concept they were struggling to grasp and seeing their confidence in themselves and their learning abilities grow. I also enjoy understanding how I can tailor my approach to tutoring based on the personality and learning style of each student, and then seeing my approach work for them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I am a very compassionate and encouraging person. Often I have witnessed students and my friends struggle to study/learn because of their self-doubt and all they need is a bit more encouragement and positive reinforcement. I think my creativity and patience when tutoring also helps me teach and be a good mentor for students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think personalising the teaching approach for each student is very important as no student will learn and grasp concepts the same, so having the awareness to be able to adapt to different students is very important, which will in turn improve the students confidence and grades. I think asking for feedback from students is also very important, whether that is formally or informally. I would probably do this by making sure the student understands what I'm saying or if they aren't, clarifying what part they keep getting confused at. Then asking for students to explain what they have learnt.
