We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem. This is why many parents contact us for a private tutor - their child just can't "get it" when their teacher is teaching. It's incredible how one explanation results in more confusion whereas another results in that "aha" feeling we all love so much! It is really a matter of getting the "right" tutor and not the "best" one. We see this every day in our work. A tutor might have hundreds of hours of experience and might have received dozens of testimonials from students, however, even such a tutor doesn't click with all students. Every tutor gets bad feedback sometimes. It's all about getting the right fit and this is what we do!
We will organise a 1-on-1 maths tutor in Wanora to come to your home at a time of your choosing. They will be a local Wanora maths tutor so scheduling lessons will be easy. Also, no booking fees, no minimum terms, no cancellation costs, no nonsense! And here's the best thing: your first lesson is a trial. So if you feel that the tutor wasn't a good fit, we'll organise someone else. It's our Good Fit Guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Latisha usually appears to practice the qualities of confidence, seeking understanding and avoiding lazy thinking. We may however need to practice slightly more on the back-checking. This is a common error made by most students, which lead them to make silly mistakes. However, I plan on setting a few class tests for her, which I hope will be able to test her back-checking even further, so it becomes an ingrained quality in her.
Alex is mostly enthusiastic throughout tutor sessions, however there are times where he doesn't seem particularly turned on until perhaps half way into the tutor session. Alex shows a lot of effort within the tutor session and always has his homework completed. Alex is organised in terms of keeping up to date with his school homework and tutor homework
There are no particular areas that needs attention, but we only have to improve our results by revising more and avoiding silly mistakes. There is no particular problem area but we just need to improve our overall results by doing more revision and having more time to complete all the topics.
Dev is great and Thea's maths is really coming along. She's more confident and much better. She didn't have much to catch up on but still a little further to go I think. We're very happy with Dev. Thank you.
Justin has been such an asset to Connor, honestly, his confidence and understanding has improved with Justin's assistance. We are so greatful to yourselves and Justin for all the work and patience over the past couple of weeks.
Also, I would like to say that the tutor provided, Ray, was outstanding. A thorough gentleman, always professional, diligent, interested and concerned. Just a good decent young man on every front. I certainly believe that Ray deserves some acknowledgement and recognition, and that he set a standard in your organisation that would be hard to better, he is a great testament of quality that any organisation tries to deliver. We were always pleased to have him in our home and wish him all the very best in his future.
